Extreme weather warnings failed to deter over 200 delegates from attending the 15th annual National Pubwatch conference, which this year was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nottingham City centre.
The conference was run in association with the Security Industry Authority (SIA) who have developed a strong working relationship with NPW with our joint focus on reducing violence in the night time economy.
Key-note speakers this year were Chief Constable Craig Guildford, David Humphries SIA Director of Partnerships and Interventions and Jonathon Swaine MD of Fullers Inns. Delegates were able to attend a range of workshops*.

Steve Baker Chair of National Pubwatch said “NPW is committed to promoting good practice and one of the reasons for choosing Nottingham for this year’s conference is the fact that the licensing community have a good network of local Pubwatch schemes which are fully supported by Nottinghamshire Police. That is demonstrated by the fact that this year our Malcolm Eidmans Award was presented to local officer Paul Horton.
This has been a hugely successful event and I am extremely grateful to my colleagues who put so much effort into the planning and execution of the conference”.
