We have recently had a few issues with members of a local Pubwatch being unable to successfully affix their NPW window stickers.
Without sounding like we are trying to teach anyone to ‘suck eggs’, we thought it might be useful to offer a few tips.
It is important to state, that the vinyl NPW window stickers are affixed by ‘static cling’. How they cling to the inside of a window will depend on the temperature of the window and how clean is its surface.
Never attempt to affix your sticker if the window is hot
Thoroughly clean the window to remove residue from the glass and to aid adhesion.
Fill a spray bottle with water, which contains a few small drops of dish washing soap. Spray the glass with the water/soap solution.
Slide the window sticker into position. Use a credit card to expel any air bubbles and excess water that have become trapped beneath the surface, working outwards to the edges of the sticker.
Allow to dry.
Window stickers can be ordered by using the special link on the Resources page of the National Pubwatch website.
