Inspector Paul Gummer is awarded the National Pubwatch Malcolm Eidmans Award for his constant and long-term dedication and enthusiastic support for the Nottingham City Pubwatch Scheme.
Paul has been the Neighbourhood Policing Inspector in Nottingham City Centre for over 10 years. His work with Pubwatch as well as other partners and his focus on local priorities such as spiking and violence against women and girls have received timely intervention and intelligence sharing.
His involvement in police operations such as those related to the deadly mix of cocaine and alcohol and the seizure of drugs and knives have led to significant reductions in crime.
His collaborative approach has strengthened relationships between venues, the police and a wide range of partners, ensuring that issues are addressed proactively and effectively with his communication and problem-solving approach.
Paul has been a key partner in the success of the Nottingham City Centre Pubwatch which has become a trusted forum for partnership working, helping to create safer environments for both staff and the public.
